GOLDEN BOY CASSPER TAKES IT ALL HOME
Young fresh and the most underrated rapper of 2014 Phoolo Refilioe Maele also known as Cassper Nyovest took all of Africa by storm with a wave of hits that are playing on all major radio stations and television networks across Africa.
What a year for the golden boy with features from international artists such Talib Kweli, I mean what a standard set by Cassper. Set the bar high or go home, that's what I say and by the looks of chart ratings Cassper Nyovest has even surpassed major hip hop artists such as the cocky AKA with hits such as Gusheshe, Doc shebeleza and of course Phumakim.
An inspiration to many township youth he is a practical example of rags to riches. I for one am very impressed with the young rapper, I mean who do you know in SA hip hop history who has made twelve million Mandela's without a record label, go on I can wait, exactly my point no body has. This reflects hard work and determination with the backing of SA hip hop legend HHP Cassper Nyovets has gone from underdog to top-dog In a space of a year. Social media is one of the major instruments that made the young Maftown rapper become such a hit last year and he is still on of most highly followed musicians on twitter, Facebook and instagram in SA.
And to think that he is a varsity drop out that went from having lunch at student centers to having lunch in Paris and London. He also went on to win five trophies at the 14th annual Metro FM awards in categories such as best male album of the year, song of the year, best hit single, best hip hop album and the listeners choice award.

I mean, yes, you are right.nothing more describes him as a better rapper/person that the " Star" he is....
ReplyDeleteThough,i'm quite concerned about the level of education (Conscious & Civil) that his music is disseminating to the people ,particularly to the youth.
I totally agree with you on that because music influences the way people think and behave, but we all know that everyone has to make money at the end of the day
Delete#TeamAKA > #TeamNyovest anyday! though i must praise the in-depth look at the artist. Will be interesting to see how he's going to progresses in the industry now that he''s hit the big time
ReplyDeleteHe sure is an amazing artist, getting hes album was one the things i don't regret doing. He has brought something new and interesting to the hip hop industry
ReplyDeletei also agree with Tshepo,i believe that they should really consider what they write about in their music.I believe that their music should carry lyrics that are educational, inspiring or motivating to their fans or followers.
